Blogging About Film

I was ranting a bit a while ago about that LA Weekly article post-, which no one responded to, so I guess I was over-reacting :-) But, now that I’ve had a chance to catch up on some of the post-fest coverage, I’m happy to say that if you were interested in what we had to say, there are some last resources:

Some video coverage (link goes straight to the MP4), ’s Ingrid Kopp’s notes, and James McNally’s recording of the whole she-bang.

Shorts Extravaganaza

MASTER OF REALITY BY MATTHEW KILLIPI don’t get to explore Ticklebooth as much as I would like, but I should have known they’d have a cool collection of all items Oscar - check out their collection of animated and live action available online.

Speaking of , I went to an AWESOME program at the Pioneer Theater this past week, programmed by Ingrid Kopp over at Shooting People. All the films were by Shooting People members and it was a totally fab evening. Standout from the docs were Jesse Epstein’s animated doc and Master of Reality by Matthew Killip, but all of the films were excellent and with a packed house, it was a lovely way to spend a Tuesday evening.

I had avoided bothering with the iTunes/Sundance venture, just because I don’t buy from iTunes on principle, but my stubborness cost me not realizing that you can watch the shorts streaming from the Sundance site (iTunes is for buying downloads). Mea culpa - that’s cool!
