The Carnival of Cinema: Episode 81

Every once in a while I submit to The Carnival of Cinema, a round up of writing about movies of all sorts. I included my Gonzo review. Other reviews include Wall-E, Wanted, The Happening and Hancock. There are also some submissions of filmmakers in the process of production and blogging about the experience, as well as the state of the business and non-Hollywood fare. The never fails to introduce me to new bloggers and it’s a nice round-up of this week at the movies. Check out this week’s episode>>

The Carnival of Cinema: Episode XXIX

I’m not sure how many episodes that is, but it looks like a lot in roman numerals. Titled “The Days of Wine and Bloggers”, which seems appropriate for this spring-like day. I contributed my Billy the Kid post; my fun new discovery at this week’s Carnival is SingleSentenceMovieReview.com - you can even contribute your own 1-liners in the comments.

Carnival of Cinema, Episode XXIV

One way to help raise the profile of your film writing (or whatever else you might be writing that you hope others will read), are group activities. Sometimes folks will all write on the same topic and direct their readers to the posts, a blogathon, if you will. Another cool way is these Blog Carnivals.

This week’s host, Godzillablitz at Kaboom Review, says nice things about my Manufacturing Dissent review, but what’s neat about the Carnival is that it is not just reviews. There are all kinds of posts about movies old and new. If you enjoy reading about cinema, the Carnival of Cinema is an easy way to access lots of good writing in one place.
