SXSW: No Budget Filmmaking
I’m looking forward to moderating a panel at this year’s SXSW, No Budget Filmmaking. Panelists include Joe Swanberg, Paul Harrill, Ti West, Aaron Katz and Mike Curtis of HD for Indies. We’ve been tossing around a couple of ideas about how to run the panel and finally decided to play it by ear, but if you are thinking about hitting the panel and want to send me your questions in advance, let me have it! It can be tough with a big room to make sure the discussion is fruitful, so here’s your chance.
Got SXSW suggestions for me? I’ll be covering for my own blog and for IDA, so let me know what you are up to and let’s make a plan to meet up!

Agnes, I’m in Austin from Friday the 7th until Sunday the 16th. I’m overwhelmed trying to schedule it all: I’m attending Interactive for the eighth time and am trying to branch out and meet more Film people and attend some panels. As well, I’m sticking around to go to some day parties during Music and will try to see a bunch of films as well as catch up with Austin friends. I really hope we can connect at some point. I need an intro to pretty much everyone in the Film conference!

This is one of the panels I’ll be attending at SXSW. Here’s one question to start you off:
With the success of your films, you’ve gotten to travel to many film festivals across the country and throughout the world. Would you say you spend more money on travelling with a film than making the film itself? Do you ever factor in the travelling into your budget, or how do you finance your trips?
