Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars

Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars
The film about this groovy group of refugees was on P.O.V. in late June, but if you didn’t catch the movie, you still can–in a benefit screening on Monday, August 13 at 7 PM at the IFC Center. Tickets for non-members are $15, and a portion of the proceeds benefits ninemillion.org, a UN campaign to raise awareness and funds for refugee youth.

If you’ve seen the movie and know how fantastic the music is, the band is playing as part of the African Festival at Prospect Park in Brooklyn from 2-9 PM Saturday, August 11.
