Unsettled Screens in NYC

The grand jury winner from Slamdance, Unsettled by Adam Hootnick, has it’s NY premiere this Thursday. The early shows are sold out but there are still tickets for the added 9:30 screening at the IFC Center. I haven’t seen the completed film yet, but Adam participated in the IFP Market last year and his work-in-progress was a very nuanced exploration of the lives and beliefs of young people who are dealing with the situation in Israel.

Unsettled
During the Gaza withdrawal, three young Israelis will be forced from their homes, two soldiers will be sent to evict them, and one activist will try to help her country avoid a war. UNSETTLED is the story of a generation on the front lines of a nation’s battle against itself, religion and democracy, soldiers and civilians, and the kids on the front lines of a battle where there is no enemy.
