Blog Article Round-Up

Folks frequently tell me that they don’t have time or aren’t into reading blogs, so one of the features I’ve found helpful on blogs unrelated to filmmaking are round-ups, or short headlines from around the blogosphere that the writer thinks their readers might be into. There have been several articles recently that I’ve been meaning to call attention to but time being elusive, I’ll settle for a round up.

Via SpringBoardMedia, Sundance announces a Second Life screening project kicking off with Four Eyed Monsters. So much for my plan.
Via Cinema Minema, wanna make a movie but don’t have money to go shoot? Enter the Stray Cinema open source film contest and festival.
Via Movie City Indie, Paul Vandecarr’s NY Times article on unfinished documentaries, “Untold Stories, Abandoned Films.”
In Buisness Week Online, “The eBay Model Goes to the Movies,” InDplay Inc., a web tech hybrid gives film buyers easier access to purchasing independent film content.
And just for fun, Scissor Sisters on ifilm.
