Yahoo! and Current Part Ways

Variety reports today that along with the departure of Yahoo! programming exec David Katz, Yahoo! and Current TV have also parted ways, leaving Yahoo! seemingly without a plan for original content on the site.

Current TV was at this year’s IFP Market with VC2 and very excited about the announcement, which had just come out, about this new partnership. The unceremonious dissolution seems odd. There was also a mysterious departure of staff right before the IFP event, so I’m curious about what is going on over there at Current?
