Adam Hunter Perez

Adam was the sort of person that everyone wanted to be around. He had one of the most beautiful, warm smiles I’ve ever known. Adam, I discovered during a web search to try to reconnect with him, was killed last year on Nov. 18th in Harlem by a police cruiser responding to a call. Even though I hadn’t seen him in many years, I’ve always considered him one of the very best friends I’ve ever had.

I Will by the Beatles was our song and every time I’ve heard it or ever will, I’ll remember Adam. Rest in peace, my Sweet.

Who knows how long I’ve loved you
You know I love you still
Will I wait a lonely lifetime
If you want me to I will

For if I ever saw you
I didn’t catch your name
But it never really mattered
I will always feel the same

Love you forever and forever
Love you with all my heart
Love you whenever we’re together
Love you when we’re apart

And when at last I find you
Your song will fill the air
Sing it loud so I can hear you
Make it easy to be near you
For the things you do endear you to me
And you know I will

I will.
