51 Birch St is Truly Indie

Tonight marks the theatrical opening of 51 Birch Street by Doug Block. In addition to being a fan of Doug’s and his film, I’m very curious to see how this Truly Indie (DIY theatrical distribution supported by the good folks in Mark Cuban’s camp) shakes out for a wonderful film. Doug has gotten so much press, I’ll direct you to his site for his litany of articles and online comments (NY Times, Newsday, IDA, The IFC Blog, just to name a few…).

I’ll be at the NY screening tonight as I’m sending Doug and his family warm fuzzies for a great theatrical run.
