Woodstock Film Festival

Tales of the Rat Fink by Ron MannMy next excursion is to the Woodstock Film Festival! After working the IFP Market, I’m looking forward to relaxing at someone else’s event. Some of the docs I’m looking forward to: Autumn’s Eyes directed by Paola Mendoza and Gabriel Noble; Darkon directed by Andrew Neel & Luke Meyer (I missed it @ SXSW); Shut Up and Sing directed by Barbara Kopple and Cecilia Peck; and, Who Needs Sleep? directed by Haskell Wexler and Lisa Leeman (also one I’ve missed around).

Some other selections which I’ve seen and highly recommend: a/k/a Tommy Chong by Josh Gilbert; Arctic Son by Andrew Walton (which was just picked up by an Canadian aboriginal television network!); A Crude Awakening: The Oil Crash directed by Basil Gelpke and Ray McCormack; and, Tales of the Rat Fink directed by Ron Mann.

If anyone has any suggestions from the narrative slate, I’d love to hear! The fest runs from Oct 11 - 15. Hope to see you there.
