Phoenix Dance by Karina EpperleinEach year, the International Documentary Association helps qualify docs for Academy Award consideration with it’s DocuWeek screening series in Los Angeles. This year, even if you can’t make the LA screenings, you can read the Q&A! If you are an IDA member, this came to your inbox via the e-blasts - a nice way to get those of us who can’t be there involved.

I also received an email about a multi-city tour of DocuWeek selections. Cities include Rochester, NY; Hot Springs, AR; Kansas City, MO; Silver Spring, MD; Austin, TX; Salem, OR; Ft. Wayne, IN; and Indianapolis, IN. If you live in any of these cities, keep an eye out for docs coming to your local theater.
