What Would Jesus Do?
It might seem an odd thing to say, but I love it when I’m totally humbled by others, as I was this morning by a website. Peace Takes Courage was started by 15-year-old Ava Lowery from Alabama. She started making animations to vent her frustration about the war, but the website is now a collection of articles, her 70+ animations, a daily blog and a discussion forum. GreenCine linked to one of her new animations, What Would Jesus Do?. It’s heartbreaking.

I’m sorry that it upset you – too often the people that will look at these kinds of images and are moved by them are not the ones who would send soldiers there to do it, so perhaps it’s inflicting pain needlessly. But, it seemed to me that posting and linking to her work will make it more accessible on the net, and just maybe people who wouldn’t normally catch something like that will find it, even if accidentally.
