Ok, that Herzog post is heavy so now I’ll share the great news that my buddy Andrew Blackwell completed his first music video, or as he calls Calling Amsterdam - a “power-pop fantasia on the theme of getting around New York,” which describes it perfectly. He suggests taking a dramamine if you are prone to motion sickness to which I would concur, but if you can watch closely, there are some lovely images of NY and travel. Snaps, AB!

And on a separate note, congrats to Cory Booker who won the mayoral race in Newark, NJ yesterday. Doc fans saw his previous unsuccessful campaign against Sharpe James chronicaled in Marshall Curry’s Street Fight. I’m not sure if Curry’s film had anything to do with this year’s landslide victory, or if he won because after 36 years under only 2 mayors, the city is really ready for some new blood, but I’d like to think that having a glimpse inside Booker’s campaign might have convinced doubters that he is the genuine article.
